As a decorator who is interested in intricate designs and patterns, I get my inspiration from ancient civilizations, fashion trends, classic art movements and nature.
Weird and unique but interesting formations on any kind of surface (from rocks and plants to shells or even garbage) caused by the passing of time, by living organisms and deterioration itself are my main inspirational starting points. My focus is to interpret these patterns into textural surfaces.
I enjoy exploring intricate designs and detailed patterns. It is the formation of an idea that starts its gestation in ones mind and evolves on the surface of the object. For me decoration starts from a dot. My ceramic pieces flirt with the illusion of how that dot forms into a line and can create movement onto the surface of an object and how sometimes something as simple as pattern, enables forms to be interpreted in new ways.
